Update on Shirley September 29

Hello,

Mom's surgery went well. The doctor replaced 2 parts that were bad from her previous knee surgery and he cleaned out her knee again really good. She will have to be on IV antibiotics for 6 weeks to make sure no more infection comes back. He said on Saturday when he drained the fluid it was very cloudy compared to July when he drained. He said the fluid around her knee was infected not any of the bones that is good. He is hoping he can get her home before the 6 weeks are up to finish out the IV therapy and the Physical therapy. He said he will make sure her knee is doing good before he sends her out and he will also make sure all the other doctor's involved with her care are all on board with her going home. I am praying that this is the end of the roller coaster ride she has been this go around and she can finally go home.
