Update on Shirley September 7

Hello,

I have been out of town for a few days so today i went to see mom. She is doing good. The respiratory therapist said today " her lungs sound the best they ever have since she has been there" that is good news. They are going to pull her trach sometime this week and she has a staph infection in her trach so she is back on antibiotics again. According to the doctor is a small one (if there is such a thing as a small staph infection) the respiratory therapist did some type on mouth rinse that is suppose to kill any germs that might be in her mouth. He said "they use it for people who have artificial airways like trach's" he did that while i was there visiting. Her heart rate was good low 100's a lot better then it has been. Her oxygen level was good to between 95%-97% that is good for mom still on oxygen. She had just got back into bed when i arrived she sat up for about 30 minutes today in the chair. Just continue prayers for her.
